Alex Syberia Designs August Release: Summer Whimsy Blog Hop + PRIZES

It’s time to welcome the August 2026 Summer Whimsy Release from Alex Syberia Designs — a summery little lineup that is going to give you a toothache because it's so sugary sweet! ;)

This sweet little card feels like a sugar‑sprinkled storybook moment, with two adorable kitties perched in their dessert cups framed by whimsical scallops. The sunny stripes and playful treats make the whole scene feel bright, happy, and irresistibly charming. It’s a birthday wish wrapped in pure delight!

Easy Step by Step instructions:

  • Cut & fold white A2 card base.
  • Ink blend the Sun Rays stencil to an A2 white cardstock panel in yellows.
  • Apply glitter paste to the top & bottom, then sprinkle heart & star shaped iridescent confetti.
  • Adhere to the card front once dry.
  • Diect the scalloped rectangles from white cardstock, then the frame from white glitter cardstock.
  • Ink blend a rectangle to the middle of each scalloped die in pink ink.
  • Splatter with shimmer, then set aside to dry.
  • Adhere the glitter frames to each rectangle, then mount to the front with foam tape.
  • Stamp the images in black ink to mixed media paper.
  • Color with water based markers - I used Zig Clean Color Real.
  • Diecut the images with their coordinating die.
  • Heat emboss the sentiment in gold sparkle, then diecut with an additional layer from pink shimmer cardstock.
  • Glue the layers together, using the pink layer as a drop shadow.
  • Arrange the remaining elements to the card front as shown, popping some with foam adhesive for added dimension.

Easy Step by Step instructions:

  • Cut & fold white A2 card base.
  • Ink blend the Sun Rays stencil to an A2 white cardstock panel in Tidepool.
  • Ink blend the Glistening Water stencil over top in Surfside.
  • Create an edge to edge shaker window from the ink blended panel, fill with glitter and sequin shaker mix, then seal.
  • Adhere the shaker element to the card front.
  • Diect the inverted scalloped rectangles frame from aqua glitter cardstock, then mount to the card front with thin foam strips.
  • Stamp the images in black ink to mixed media paper.
  • Color with water based markers - I used Zig Clean Color Real.
  • Diecut the images with their coordinating die.
  • Stamp the sentiment in gold sparkle, then diecut with an additional layer from white cardstock.
  • Stack & glue the layers together.
  • Arrange the remaining elements to the card front as shown, popping some with foam adhesive for added dimension.
  • Accent with iridescent glitter glue an Aura AB crystals to finish.

Alex Syberia Designs August 2026 Release Video Hop

I'm hopping along with Alex Syberia Designs for their August 2026 Release video hop, where you can watch this cutie card come to life! I've created this beachy scene with a partial shaker card today, featuring the new Summer Chill stamp & die, plus the Clouds & Waves Builder stencil.

ASD is giving away 3x $15 (or £15) gift cards! All you have to do is comment along the hop, and the winners will be picked randomly from all comments. Comments are due by August 16th!

Easy Step by Step instructions:

  • Cut & fold white A2 card base.
  • Ink blend the beach in Sand Dunes ink to an A2 white cardstock panel.
  • Ink blend the waves in Surfside, Oceanside & Lakefront inks using the Clouds & Waves Builder stencil.
  • Ink blend the clouds in Aqua Sky to finish the background.
  • Diecut or punch a circle from ivory glitter cardstock, then ink blend with Chamomile to create a glittery, golden sun.
  • Create a partial edge to edge shaker window on the sand, fill with glitter and sequins, then seal.
  • Adhere the shaker element to the card front.
  • Stamp the images & sentiment in black ink to mixed media paper.
  • Color with water based markers - I used Zig Clean Color Real.
  • Diecut the images with their coordinating dies.
  • Arrange the remaining elements to the card front as shown, popping some with foam adhesive for added dimension.
  • Accent with iridescent glitter glue an Aura AB crystals to finish.

If you aren't sick of me and my voice, I'm also hosting the hop video on the Alex Syberia Designs channel! All the same info as above, but this time I'm creating this lovely pastel card featuring the new Peony Corners product suite, and the Whimsical Dots stencil.

Easy Step by Step instructions:

  • Cut & fold white A2 card base, then cover with Seaside cardstock.
  • Ink blend the Whimsical Dots stencil to pale pink cardstock in Pink Lemonade ink.
  • Apply Moon Dust Stickles over top of some of the stenciled areas, but don't cover completely.
  • Once dry, trim slightly smaller then mount to the card front with foam tape.
  • Stamp the peony cluster to white cardstock in dark grey dye ink. (Don't remove the stamp from the platform.)
  • Ink blend with the coordinating stencils in Pink Lemonade, Watermelon, Oceanside & Chamomile.
  • Add the panel back to your stamping platform, and re-stamp in black ink.
  • Stamp the sentiment in black ink.
  • Diecut the images with their coordinating dies, plus two extra white layers & one white glitter layer for the sentiment.
  • Stack & glue the sentiment layers together, adding the glitter layer as a drop shadow.
  • Adhere the floral element to the left side of the card front.
  • Mount the sentiment to the front with thin foam strips.
  • Dab Moon Dust Stickles into the peony centers.
  • Accent the small flowers with Aura AB crystals to finish.
