Fresh Inspiration with Altenew: August 2026 Release Blog Hop + PRIZES

Happy Sunday, crafty friends! I’m happy to be part of the blog hop today for Altenew’s August release, where there are $300 in prizes up for grabs.

I've created this summer themed card featuring the Mini Delight: Sweet Popsicles stamp & die with the Fairy Dust glitter cardstock. I wanted a yellow popsicle as well, so I ink blended Moonstone glitter cardstock with yellow ink to make it happen!

Easy Step by Step instructions:

  • Cut & fold A2 white card base.
  • Trim Peachy Glow cardstock to 4" x 5.25", then ink blend the top with Sunray ink.
  • Apply iridescent glitter paste to the top of the panel, then sprinkle small Crystal Moonlight sequins to the top.
  • Diecut the popsicle pieces from Fairy Dust & Moonstone glitter cardstock, matching cardstock and Brushed Gold cardstock.
  • Heat emboss the details to the cardstock layer in iridescent glitter.
  • Assemble & glue together the popsicles.
  • Stamp the sentiment directly to the background in Obsidian ink.
  • Mount to the card front with foam tape.
  • Arrange and adhere the popsicles to the front, popping the first, third & fifth with foam tape.
  • Accent with Crystal Moonlight sequins to finish.

Easy Step by Step instructions:

  • Cut & fold A2 white card base.
  • Hot foil the Essential Textures: Canvas Impressions press plate in Aura foil to a panel of Shattered Shell cardstock.
  • Diecut with the Nesting A2 Panels die set, then mount to the card front with foam tap.
  • Diecut the Lemon Tree pieces.
  • Ink blend the sparkle lemons in shades of yellow, and the leaves in shades of green.
  • Assemble the Lemon Tree using the Keyhole System.
  • Diecut the word Hello three times: once from Moonstone glitter cardstock, and twice from white cardstock.
  • Diecut the shadow layer from vellum, thens tack & glue the sentiment together.
  • Stamp the secondary sentiment to white cardstock in Obsidian ink, then trim.
  • Mount the Lemon Tree to the card front with foam tape.
  • Adhere the word Hello to the front, then mount the stamped sentiment with foam tape.
  • Accent with Crystal Moonlight sequins to finish.

I'm joining Altenew for their August 2026 Release Instagram Hop, where are $300 more in prizes up for grabs! I've featured the new EZ Arrangements: Garden Mix, with the Windows to Stillness kit to help bring this card to life. This 5x7 card isn’t my usual size, but I needed the extra space to tuck in all this floral goodness. It turned into a joyful, oversized garden party on a card, and I’m not mad about it!

Easy Step by Step instructions:

  • Cut & fold A7 white card base.
  • Emboss 4.75" x 6.75" Peachy Glow cardstock panel with the Windows to Stillness 3D embossing folder.
  • Mount panel to card front with foam tape.
  • Ink blend Windows to Stillness Scene 2 to white cardstock in shades of pinks & yellows, plus black for the birds.
  • Ink blend a sun to the scene in yellow ink using stencil 3.
  • Diecut with a Nesting Arch die.
  • Diecut the Windows to Stillness window pieces, then assemble.
  • Adhere to the ink blended scene, trimming away excess white cardstock when visible.
  • Diecut the EZ Arrangement: Garden Mix pieces.
  • Ink blend the petal layers in a similar ink shade to add gradation.
  • Assemble using the Keyhole System.
  • Arrange the floral sprays and window element to the card front as shown.
  • Diecut the inner word die three times: once from Twinkling Pink glitter cardstock, and twice from white cardstock.
  • Diecut the shadow layer from vellum, then stack & glue the sentiment together.
  • Heat emboss the secondary sentiment to aqua cardstock in white, then trim.
  • Adhere the word die to the front, then mount the heat embossed sentiment with foam tape.
  • Accent with Iridescent Crystals Gem Sparkles to finish.

I'm joining in on more August 2026 release fun with Altenew for the YT Shorts Hop! This fall inspired card features the Softly Sketched Blooms product suite, with a sentiment perfect for congratulating the bride & groom. I've added a partial shaker element to the bottom to make it extra special!

Easy Step by Step instructions:

  • Cut & fold A2 white card base.
  • Emboss 4" x 5.25" Pink Sand cardstock panel with the Crisscross Blooms 3D embossing folder.
  • Add partial shaker element to the bottom of the panel, filling with Stellar Sequins and glitter.
  • Adhere the panel to the card front.
  • Stamp the florals in light brown ink, then ink blend with the stencils. (Colors are shown in the Shorts video.)
  • Restamp in the same light brown ink to make the impression more crisp.
  • Stamp the sentiment in black to white cardstock.
  • Diecut both with their coordinating die.
  • Adhere the florals across the middle of the card, then trim away the excess.
  • Mount the sentiment with thin foam tape.
  • Accent with Iridescent Crystals Gem Sparkles to finish.
