Crafting with Yana’s Daisies:
Letterpress & Foiling Fun + Live Replay

Happy Tuesday, crafty friends! 🌼 There’s something undeniably charming about daisies—their simplicity, elegance, and cheerful presence make them a joy to work with in cardmaking. Today, I’m featuring the gorgeous new Yana’s Daisies collection from Spellbinders, which includes stunning press plates and coordinating stencils. One of my favorite things about these press plates is their versatility: they can be used for both BetterPress letterpress and Glimmer hot foiling techniques, allowing for endless creative possibilities. In this post, I’ll show how I incorporated both methods to create elegant, dimensional greeting cards that truly let the daisies shine.

A couple of weeks ago, I had the pleasure of crafting these cards live, experimenting with different techniques and sharing my creative process in real time. If you missed the session or want a refresher, the replay is available by clicking on the image above! I hope it inspires you to explore these techniques and bring your own floral designs to life.

Easy step by step instruction:

  • Cut & fold (2) A2 card bases from white cardstock.
  • Press a gradient from light orange to light pink using the BetterPress system with the Daisy Trio press plate to Porcelain cotton cardstock.
  • Hot foil the Daisy Shower press plate in rose gold to white cardstock. (This press plate is too big for the Glimmer system. It was hard to roll through my diecut machine - I'm just glad I didn't break it. I would switch the plates next time...lol!)
  • Hot foil the sentiments in opaque black foil to white cardstock.
  • Ink blend the panels with their coordinating layering stencils.
  • Trim the panels down to size, then mount to each card base with foam adhesive.
  • Diecut the sentiments, then mount to the card fronts as shown.
  • Accent with Aura AB gems to finish.

Featured Supplies:

I hope these cards inspire you to experiment with both BetterPress letterpress and Glimmer hot foiling techniques!
