Double Stamping with One Go: Friendship Florals from Altenew

Hello, crafty friends! There’s something extra special about creating a Mother’s Day card that feels soft, breezy, and full of heart, and this year, I’m leaning all the way into that Light & Airy look I love so much. If you’ve been wanting florals that feel professional without adding hours to your crafting time, you’re going to adore today’s project.

I’m working with the innovative One Go: Friendship Flowers suite, and it truly is a game changer. One pass to stamp, stencil, and die cut an entire set of florals? Yes please. But the real magic comes from my favorite trick for getting crisp, beautifully defined blooms: the Double Stamping Technique.

By starting with a soft gray impression and saving that bold black layer for after the ink blending, your florals get the perfect amount of contrast — clean, polished, and never muddy. And if the idea of double stamping makes you nervous, don’t worry. The Stampwheel takes all the guesswork out of alignment, making this technique totally beginner‑friendly.

Let’s jump in and create something beautiful for the moms in your life!

While I’m technically allowed to upload these videos to my own YouTube channel, it feels a little silly to have the same video living in two places. So while I’m sharing the video from the Altenew channel, I would truly appreciate it if you shop through my links when you’re adding any of these products to your craft room. I earn a small commission at no cost to you, and your support means so much to me!

FEATURED PRODUCTS - if you love my card & would like to purchase any of the products I've used, I would love for you to shop from my links! I earn a small commission at no cost to you, allowing me to contribute to our finances. I appreciate this gesture more than words can express!

Easy step-by-step instructions:

  • Cut & fold A2 white card base.
  • Ink blend the background stencil directly to the card front (or on a separate A2 panel like I did) in Pool ink. (Glue the panel to the front if you did a separate one.)
  • Stamp the One Go: Friendship Flowers image in gray to white cardstock using your Stampwheel. DO NOT REMOVE ANYTHING FROM THE STAMPWHEEL.
  • Ink blend the flowers with the coordinating stencils in shades of pink, red and green.
  • Re-stamp in Obsidian for a crisp, clean impression.
  • Diecut with the coordinating 1-piece die.
  • Heat emboss the sentiment in Antique Gold to white cardstock, then diecut.
  • Stamp the secondary sentiment in Obsidian, then diecut.
  • Arrange the florals to the front as shown, then trim away any excess.
  • Mount the sentiments to the card front as shown.
  • Accent with Shimmering Pool stellar sequins to finish.
