Happy Tuesday, crafty friends! Just wanted to pop in and share a card I created recently. When I am asked to participate in release blog hops, I tend to create pieces from each of the products I am sent, but I might not use them for the blog hop post. For this card I had ink blended the stencil, but it just didn't go with any of the sentiment options I had from my package of new release goodies. So I set it aside, and then created this card later. Check it out!
Just Because You Make my Heart Happy card
Card size: A2 - 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" (inches)
I started by ink blending the Heart Mandala stencil to white Hammermill cardstock in the following Pinkfresh Studio ink colors: Bubble Gum, Candy Apple, Clementine, Sweet Mustard and Aquamarine. Then I cut the panel down with the largest Stitched Rectangle die. Next I diecut the Just Because sentiment three times: once from gold pearl paper and twice from white cardstock. I also cut the shadow layer from vellum, then stacked and adhered the cuts together as shown. I trimmed down one of the Thinking of You sentiment strips for my secondary sentiment.
I mounted the stenciled background to an aqua colored card base with a full panel of foam adhesive. I create these on my own using white craft foam and 5 inch ScorTape. I adhered the diecut sentiment to the middle with liquid glue, then popped up the secondary sentiment strip with thin foam strips. To finish I accented opposite corners with a row of crystals in rainbow order to match the stenciling.
There will be a few more images of this card on my Instagram post, as I have an image limit on my website...and I'm trying to stretch it as far as I can before I have to purchase additional storage. Lol! Thanks for heading to my feed to see more, and allowing me to be a tad frugal. You can also check out my complete supply list below to multiple stores, or CLICK HERE to see it a bit easier. :)
