Fresh Inspiration with Altenew: August 2026 Release Blog Hop + PRIZES

Happy Sunday, crafty friends! I’m happy to be part of the blog hop today for Altenew’s August release, where there are $300 in prizes up for grabs.

I've created this summer themed card featuring the Mini Delight: Sweet Popsicles stamp & die with the Fairy Dust glitter cardstock. I wanted a yellow popsicle as well, so I ink blended Moonstone glitter cardstock with yellow ink to make it happen!

Easy Step by Step instructions:

  • Cut & fold A2 white card base.
  • Trim Peachy Glow cardstock to 4" x 5.25", then ink blend the top with Sunray ink.
  • Apply iridescent glitter paste to the top of the panel, then sprinkle small Crystal Moonlight sequins to the top.
  • Diecut the popsicle pieces from Fairy Dust & Moonstone glitter cardstock, matching cardstock and Brushed Gold cardstock.
  • Heat emboss the details to the cardstock layer in iridescent glitter.
  • Assemble & glue together the popsicles.
  • Stamp the sentiment directly to the background in Obsidian ink.
  • Mount to the card front with foam tape.
  • Arrange and adhere the popsicles to the front, popping the first, third & fifth with foam tape.
  • Accent with Crystal Moonlight sequins to finish.

Easy Step by Step instructions:

  • Cut & fold A2 white card base.
  • Hot foil the Essential Textures: Canvas Impressions press plate in Aura foil to a panel of Shattered Shell cardstock.
  • Diecut with the Nesting A2 Panels die set, then mount to the card front with foam tap.
  • Diecut the Lemon Tree pieces.
  • Ink blend the sparkle lemons in shades of yellow, and the leaves in shades of green.
  • Assemble the Lemon Tree using the Keyhole System.
  • Diecut the word Hello three times: once from Moonstone glitter cardstock, and twice from white cardstock.
  • Diecut the shadow layer from vellum, thens tack & glue the sentiment together.
  • Stamp the secondary sentiment to white cardstock in Obsidian ink, then trim.
  • Mount the Lemon Tree to the card front with foam tape.
  • Adhere the word Hello to the front, then mount the stamped sentiment with foam tape.
  • Accent with Crystal Moonlight sequins to finish.
