Always There Inspiration with Simon Says Stamp: Release Blog Hop Day 1

I’m so excited to be joining the Simon Says Stamp Always There release blog hop today, and I couldn’t resist leaning all the way into soft, feminine pastels for this card. These beautiful letters from the Floral Word Builder stamp & die set were just begging for a little watercolor magic, so I pulled out my Pawsitively Saturated Inks—and they worked like an absolute dream as watercolor.

To finish everything off, I paired the letters with the Willowweave Plate & stencil for a background that’s delicate, textured, and totally swoon‑worthy. It all came together in the prettiest way.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

  • Cut & fold A2 card base.
  • Ink blend the Willowweave stencil to the card front in a gradient from Ballerina to Fairy.
  • Diecut the Willowweave Plate die from ivory glitter and white cardstock.
  • Stack & glue together, then adhere to the front.
  • Heat emboss the letters HUGS in gold pearl to Strathmore Bristol paper.
  • Watercolor the florals with Simon inks. (Colors in link list.)
  • Paint the letters and florals with a shimmer pen, then let dry.
  • Once dry, diecut with the coordinating dies and arrange to the front with thin foam strips.
  • Toner foil the Birthday Wishes sentiment strips panel, then trim.
  • Mount to the front as shown with thin foam strips.
  • Accent with Prism dazzling gems to finish.
