Happy Monday, crafty friends! Spellbinders recently had a new release, and they asked me to use a couple of items from it. I chose the new In Bloom and Everyday Sentiments die sets from the Metamorphosis collection by Simon Hurley. This is a lovely layered floral set, and sentiments that you can use....everyday. No pun intended. ;) Lol!
Just an FYI - you can currently take $25 off a $125+ order, plus Spellbinders offers free US shipping on orders $100+. No discount code is necessary - you will see the discount in your cart once you hit the shopping threshold. This deal ends tonight, so if you are wanting to grab some of the brand new products...now is the time to do it! I took advantage and grabbed some more cardstock packs to help complete my collection! Be sure to check out their entire February release, because it's a good one! Lots of fresh springy items that can still be used throughout the year.

Here are the instructions on how to create this card:
These cards are mostly a lot of diecutting, and I've got a couple tips for you that I find helpful when I'm using sets like this. If the dies have embossed or etched lines in them, I would run them through your big diecut machine. I think these machines have more pressure, so the designs show up better.
However, I prefer to use a smaller diecut machine when cutting sentiments. I find these have less pressure, which minimizes how much the poke holes show on your finished piece. I won the Altenew Mini Blossom machine at an event, so that is what I use. But there are a ton of small, affordable diecut machine options out there...and you might even have one already! Try it out if you aren't thrilled with how your sentiments or smaller diecuts look going through your big machine. You might prefer it!

This card had just a few additional steps:
Let's talk about solid foiling, because it's not a perfect science! When I did the reverse foiling on this one, I did a really bad job of lining the design up with on the solid plate. It was a tad off center, which was a tad annoying to me. Lol! But if you know me at all, you know I don't like to waste things or time. So I held on to it to see if I could use it at some point in the future.
When I assembled the In Blooms florals, it popped into my head that this set might be perfect...and it definitely is! I skewed the entire card design to help hide that I had foiled it a little off, and I don't think you an really tell! My advice is to not toss something just because it didn't finish perfectly. Hold on to it, or look at it and see if you can find a way to hide the mistake or flaw. I LOVE how this card turned out, and it wouldn't have happened if I had tossed my mistake!
P.S. The jewels I used on this kit are from an older Christmas card kit from Spellbinders. I checked the store, but I think it's been discontinued. I thought they looked so pretty with this card, so I decided to use them anyways. You can absolutely switch them out with something else!
Before I close up, I wanted to mention that my Crafty Sale page is updated, and I'm also currently work on my FAVORITES page!
