- Foil the leftover foil to white toner sheets, then adhere each of those to the card fronts.
- Diecut the Oval Forest View from ivory glitter & white cardstock, then mount to the card front as shown.
- Diecut Snowflake Frame from glacier & ivory glitter, then arrange to the other card front.
- Heat emboss Winter Pals in iridescent gold, then color with Zig markers.
- Diecut the Winter Pals, then arrange to the Oval Forest View card front.
- Stamp the sentiments in black, then diecut.
- Adhere them to the card front with foam strips.
- Accent each card with The Browns sticky gems and glittery stars to finish.

On a personal note: Comparison really can be the thief of joy. While no one ever said it outright, it was often implied that I wasn’t “good enough” at coloring—and I’ve carried that weight for far too long.
Here’s the truth: I don’t want coloring to take hours. I want it to take minutes. I reach for one, maybe two colors to blend, and I almost always soften them out to a super light finish. I’m not interested in investing hundreds of dollars into markers I’ll rarely use.
Years ago, I treated myself to a 90-pack of Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers and a few colorless blenders. They’ve been perfect for giving my images that soft, storybook feel I love. I pulled them out again while working on this card set, and for the first time in a long time, I simply enjoyed the process of coloring.
So I’m choosing to stop comparing myself to those with every alcohol marker under the sun and years of coloring experience. Instead, I’m leaning into what brings me joy: soft, light coloring that’s simple, quick, and satisfying.
I’m not sharing this to be negative—just honest. Maybe you’ve felt something similar. Maybe it’s not about coloring, but about ink blending, foiling, or any other technique that’s made you question your place in this creative space.
I believe crafting should be fun, cathartic, and confidence-building. If you’ve ever felt less-than or unsure of your creative abilities, know that you’re not alone. I’ve been papercrafting in one form or another for over 20 years, and I still find myself wrestling with confidence now and then.
It’s a gentle reminder to give ourselves grace, lead with love, and simply enjoy the process of creating, because that’s where the real magic lives.
