Simon Says Stamp DieCember® Release Blog Hop - Day 1
Dec 2, 2020 | By: Lea Lawson
Happy Wednesday, crafty friends! Today I am part of the day 1 blog hop for the SSS DieCember® release, which is full of amazing new dies! They've got a free American Crafts Christmas Tag Kit with purchase while supplies last, just be sure to use the code JINGLE. This promotion will expire 12/4 at 11:59 pm EDT.
I will put all of the blog hop details at the end of my post, but how about we get to my card first? Today I've used the new Dainty Snowflake die with a few other previously released Simon goodies on this glittery Christmas card!

Next I created the background by ink blending a white cardstock panel using the previously released Snowflakes stencil with Tumbled Glass distress oxide ink. I made sure to blend around the edges to give it that soft, frosted feeling. Once it looked how I wanted it, I cut the panel out with a Stitched Rectangle die set like this one. Finally, I stamped the sentiment from Christmas Kitties directly to the panel in onyx black Versafine ink. Don't forget to look past the images on any stamp set that you might get - I'm not much of a cat person, so will likely never use the kitties in the stamp set. But the Christmas sentiments are fantastic, and I will gift it to a kitty loving craft friend once I am finished with it. :)
I created an A2 cardbase from navy cardstock, then mounted the background panel to it with a full sheet of foam adhesive that I make myself with white craft foam and 5 inch ScorTape. I adhered the snowflakes to the top with Connect glue, then accented the middle of each snowflake with an iridescent jewel to finish. (I purchased these jewels at a large craft store, so they are not sourced in my link list.)
That is the card I have for you today! I hope you enjoyed it! Be sure to check out the entire DieCember® release, as it is full of fantastic dies for tons of crafting fun! How about we get to the blog hop info that you need?
Simon Says Stamp is giving away a $25 coupon to every stop on the hop from the blog comment section. They will choose the winners and post on the Simon Says Stamp store blog on Wednesday. Winners can email SSS to claim their prize.
