Simon Says Stamp Coordinating Holiday Dies for Tim Holtz Stamps

We all know I'm a little spoiled when it comes to stamps, and there's a good chance I'll pass on a set if it doesn't have coordinating dies. So when Simon Says Stamp told me they were releasing coordinating dies for some gorgeous previously released holiday stamp sets from Tim Holtz, I couldn't resist the chance to put my own Lea-spin on them!

For today's card, I'm featuring some of my favorite things: sparkles, pastels, and a shaker element with the Swirly Snowflakes stamp & die set. And can we just take a moment to chat about the new Tiny Text die set? This is a MUST-HAVE addition to any crafty stash, with banners in multiple sizes and shapes that work for so many occasions. I have a feeling this one is going to become a true workhorse in my crafty studio!

Easy Step by Step instructions:

"Sparkling Winter Wishes" card:

  • Cut & fold white A2 card base.
  • Emboss 4" x 5.25" pale pink cardstock with the Melbourne 3D embossing folder.
  • Adhere clear packaging around the edges to create an edge-to-edge shaker element, filling with glitter mix & sequins before sealing the last edge.
  • Adhere to the card front with liquid glue.
  • Stamp the snowflakes in Tattered Rose, Saltwater Taffy and Salvaged Patina.
  • Stamp the sentiment in Nocturne.
  • Diecut each stamped element with their coordinating die or banner die.
  • Adhere the snowflakes to the card front as shown, then trim away the excess.
  • Diecut the holiday wishes word die once from Shimmering Lake glitter cardstock and twice from white cardstock.
  • Stack and glue together, using the white layer as a drop shadow.
  • Trim away the word "wishes", as we won't be using the rest.
  • Adhere the diecut word to the front, then mount the sentiment banner directly above it with thin foam strips.
  • Accent with Prism dazzling gems to finish.
