Concord & 9th November Release Spotlight: 7 Handmade Cards

Nov 13, 2025 | By: Lea Lawson

Happy Friday, crafty friends! I'm so happy to share that I am a guest this month for Concord & 9th's November release, and today I'm sharing everything I've been working on! This month’s release is packed with playful sentiments, bold shapes, and fresh color possibilities, and I couldn’t resist diving in with seven brand-new card designs. From sparkly birthday wishes to sweet everyday hellos, each card was a joy to create and a celebration of what makes this release so versatile and fun.

This was my first time trying out the Concord & 9th inks & coordinating cardstock, and I’m completely sold! As I retire the Pinkfresh Studio inks I’ve used and loved for years, I’m excited to welcome this fresh new collection into my craft room. These inks stamp beautifully, blend like a dream, and have already brought so much joy to my creative process!

Wild Meadow Turnabout stamp & die set

I had a blast creating this card with the new Wild Meadows Turnabout stamp and die set from Concord & 9th, paired with the new Simply Put die set. It was also my first time using the Stampwheel from Altenew, and let me tell you - it made stamping the turnabout patterns an absolute breeze! The result is a vibrant, joyful card that came together effortlessly.

Card size: A2 - 4.25" x 5.5" (inches)

Easy Step by Step instructions:

"Congrats" card

  • Cut & fold white A2 card base, then cover with Lakefront cardstock.
  • Center the Wild Meadows Turnabout stamp into the Stampwheel, then stamp onto 6x6 white cardstock using Ballet Slipper, Grapefruit, Lakefront, and Eucalyptus inks. Rotate the Stampwheel one turn to the right for each color to complete the design.
  • Trim the panel to 4" x 5.25", and mount to the card front.
  • Diecut the Congrats banner from Simply Put from Grapefruit cardstock, then cover the back with ivory glitter.
  • Mount to the card front with foam adhesive.
  • Accent with iridescent jewels to finish.

Rectangle Frames Piercing Dies

I paired the Rectangle Frame Piercing Dies from Concord & 9th with the Wild Meadows Turnabout stamp set to create a cheerful Thank You card. Using my Spellbinders Platinum machine for the piercing lines made the stitching process so much easier, since my electronic machine applied too much pressure and cut the lines instead of simply etching a guide. To finish, I heat embossed one layer of the Wild Meadows turnabout in iridescent sparkle, adding a gorgeous shimmer and glow to the design.

Card size: A2 - 4.25" x 5.5" (inches)

"Thanks" card

  • Cut & fold white A2 card base, then cover with Grapefruit cardstock.
  • Center the Wild Meadows Turnabout stamp into the Stampwheel, then stamp onto 6x6 white cardstock using Ballet Slipper, Grapefruit, and Lakefront inks. Heat emboss the final rotation in iridescent sparkle. (Rotate the Stampwheel one turn to the right for each color to complete the design.)
  • Trim the panel to 4" x 5.25", then diecut with the largest, and second smallest Rectangle Frame Piercing dies.
  • Stitch the rectangle piercing guides with iridescent white thread.
  • Mount the entire panel to the card front.
  • Diecut the Thanks hexagon from Lakefront, Grapefruit & ivory glitter cardstock, then cover the back with ivory glitter.
  • Mount the sentiment to the card front, then adhere the thin hexagon frames as shown.
  • Accent with iridescent jewels to finish.

Let It Shine stamp & die set

I had a blast playing with the Let It Shine product suite from Concord & 9th! This charming stamp set offers adorable candles and a variety of sentiments for everything from birthdays to holidays. I went with a birthday theme, because you can never have too many birthday cards! Plus, this set’s stitching guides made it easy to add a bit of shine radiating from the candle flame. Enjoy!

"Happy Birthday" card

  • Cut & fold A2 white card base.
  • Cut Ballet Slipper cardstock slightly smaller, then set aside.
  • Stamp the candles in Buttercup, Grapefruit & Aqua Sky ink, then diecut.
  • Diecut the wicks from gold pearl and the flames from ivory glitter, then assemble.
  • Heat emboss the sentiment in iridescent gold, then trim into a banner.
  • Using the middle candle as a guide, place the star shaped stitching guide on the pink panel, and run through a diecut machine.
  • Stitch the pattern with gold thread.
  • Using the other two candles as a guide, heat emboss the candle shine elements in iridescent gold to the pink panel.
  • Mount the pink panel to the card front with foam adhesive.
  • Add the candles and sentiment to the front as shown.
  • Accent with iridescent jewels to finish.

Just Picked die set & Triangles Piercing Plate

I created this sweet Thank You card featuring the Just Picked die set from Concord & 9th, which is absolutely my favorite product from this release! I arranged a charming bouquet of flowers and added a lovely gold vase and sparkling sentiment from the same set. For the background, I used the Triangle Piercing Plate die to add a subtle bit of texture without the stitching, making it quick and easy to come together!

"Hello Lovely" card

  • Cut & fold A2 white card base, then cover with Aqua Sky cardstock.
  • Cut a white panel slightly smaller, then cut with the Triangle Piercing die for added texture.
  • Mount the white panel to the card front with foam adhesive.
  • Diecut the pieces from Just Picked, then assemble.
  • Arrange to the card front as shown.
  • Adhere the sentiment to the upper right corner.
  • Accent with iridescent drops to finish.

Radiant Piercing Plate & Simply Put die set

Celebrate in shimmering style! This birthday card features a radiant, gold-stitched background using the Concord & 9th Radiant Piercing Die, topped with a cheerful banner from the Simply Put Die Set. With a sprinkle of adorable stars, this card is a little burst of joy and texture for any birthday celebration!

"Happy Birthday" card

  • Cut & fold A2 white card base..
  • Cut A2 panel from Grapefruit cardstock, then diecut with the Radiant Piercing die.
  • Stitch the pattern with gold thread, then glue to the card front.
  • Diecut the sentiment & stars from Simply Put, then assemble.
  • Arrange to the card front as shown.
  • Accent with iridescent jewels to finish.

Sending Joy stamp & die set

Sending smiles and cheer with the brand-new Sending Joy stamp and die set from Concord & 9th! With charming rainbows, a sweet smiling sunshine, and a touch of gingham magic, this card brings a little postal flair with diecut elements that resemble postage stamps. Finished off with a friendly 'Hello' sentiment, it’s guaranteed to brighten anyone’s day.

"Sending You so Much Joy" card

  • Cut & fold A2 white card base..
  • Cut Pink Lemonade panel slightly smaller, then add a rectangle stitched border.
  • Adhere the pink panel to the card base.
  • Stamp the elements from the Sending Joy stamp set to white cardstock in Pink Lemonade, Grapefruit and Buttercup.
  • Diecut with the coordinating postage dies.
  • Diecut Hello and hearts from ivory glitter carstock.
  • Arrange & adhere to the card front as shown.
  • Accent with iridescent jewels to finish.

City Block stamp, stencil & die set

Bringing a little cityscape sweetness to life with the City Block stamp, stencil, and die set from Concord & 9th! Using soft pastel pinks, yellows, corals, and aqua, I've created a charming little neighborhood scene. The gold embossed windows twinkle, and all those cute little banners and plants just add that perfect finishing touch. And because I'm always in need of a birthday card, I topped it off with a 'Have a lovely day' sentiment right on one of the buildings. Perfect for sending a city-sized smile!

"Have a Lovely Day" card

  • Cut & fold A2 white card base.
  • Ink blend the City Block stencils to white cardstock in Buttercup, Ballet Slipper, Grapefruit and Aqua Sky.
  • Stamp the lovely day sentiment directly to the front in black ink.
  • Adhere the ink blended panel to the card base.
  • Heat emboss the windows two times in iridescent gold, then diecut.
  • Stamp the doors once in black, then diecut.
  • Stamp the additional sentiments in black and diecut with the banners.
  • Diecut the remaining elements from colored & glitter cardstock, then assemble.
  • Arrange & adhere them to the card front as shown.
  • Accent with iridescent jewels to finish.
