Ring in the New Year with Spellbinders Shine Bright Collection

Happy New Year, crafty friends! I'm thrilled to share a special set of cards featuring the stunning Shine Bright collection designed by my talented friend, Carissa Wiley, for Spellbinders Paper Arts. These cards are bursting with festive flair, perfect for celebrating the start of a brand-new year.

A Sparkling New Year Theme
The Shine Bright collection is all about glitz and glam, making it ideal for New Year's festivities. The cards I created showcase a vibrant color palette, with lots of hot foiling and a touch of ink blending to add depth and dimension. Each card exudes a sense of celebration, capturing the excitement and joy of the season.

Card Details & Techniques:

1. "Shine Bright" Card

  • This card features bold, glittery letters spelling out "Shine Bright," perfectly capturing the essence of the collection.
  • I used hot foiling to create a dazzling disco ball motif, adding a sense of movement and sparkle.
  • For a finishing touch, I incorporated some ink blending with the Shine Bright stnecils to create a gradient background, highlighting the sentiment focal point.

2. "Pop Clink Fizz" Card

  • The "Pop Clink Fizz" card is all about celebration! I used the same disco ball design, but featured the solid foiled version and decorative gems for added sparkle.
  • Hot foiling plays a significant role again, giving the card a luxurious, polished look.
  • The ombre gradient background with a subtle shimmer is a specialty paper that foiled beautifully! 

Crafting Supplies & Tips:

  • Hot Foils: The Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil System is a game-changer for adding that extra touch of elegance to your projects. It pairs perfectly with the Shine Bright collection.
  • Ink Pads & Brushes: For ink blending, I used a range of vibrant ink pads and blending brushes. Experimenting with different color combinations can yield stunning results.
  • Embellishments: Don't forget to add some extra sparkle with decorative gems, sequins, or glitter. These small details can make a big difference.
