The Greetery's District Twelve25 Week 1 - Noel Needleworks

I'm completely smitten with Betsy's fresh new approach to this year's District Twelve25 holiday release! Instead of unveiling everything at once, we're getting delightful little capsules of Christmas creativity each week, which makes every release feel like opening a new holiday surprise. The Noel Needleworks collection was love at first stitch, and I couldn't wait to start creating with these charming needlework-inspired designs.

Easy step-by-step instructions:

Merry Christmas card:

  • Cut & fold A7 white card base.
  • Ink blend the Capsule Quilt Shop stencils to 5" x 7" white cardstock in the following colors:

Stencil 1: Eucalyptus
Stencil 2: Evergreen
Stencil 3: Pink Lemonade
Stencil 4: Cranberry
Stencil 5: Powder

  • Adhere to the card front with liquid glue.
  • Heat emboss the Capsule Quilt Shop Background in white embossing powder to red cardstock.
  • Diecut only the inner die from the outermost embossed element.
  • Mount to the card front with foam tape.
  • Stamp the sentiment in Cranberry & Evergreen ink to white cardstock.
  • Diecut with an additional layer of light green using the Caspule Quilt Shop banner die.
  • Adhere together slight off-center, then mount to the card front with foam tape.
  • Accent with glitter drops to finish.

Happy Birthday card:

  • Cut & fold A2 white card base.
  • Emboss an oatmeal panel of cardstock with Shortbread Shapes: Rectangle Quilt Blocks 3D embossing folder.
  • Adhere to the card front with liquid glue.
  • Diecut ivory glitter cardstock with Shortbread Shapes: Rectangle die set, then emboss with the same folder.
  • Diecut (5) of the wavy edged rectangles from the same die set from white cardstock.
  • Stamp each rectangle with the corresponding Quilt Block Builder stamp set in the same shades of ink used above.
  • Mount the stamped blocks to the corresponding embossed glitter rectangle with foam tape.
  • Adhere each one to the card front as shown with liquid glue.
  • Stamp the Happy Birthday sentiment to white cardstock, then diecut with the Shortbread Shapes: Rectangle Labels die.
  • Mount to the card front with foam tape.
  • Diecut the Botanicuts Juniper pieces from colored cardstock, and assemble the berries.
  • Splatter all pieces with white, then arrange & adhere to the card front once dry.
  • Accent the berries & sprigs with clear glitter glue to finish.
