How to Layer 3D Embossing & Ink Blending for Gardener's Corner Cards with Altenew

Hello, crafty friends! If you love soft, botanical cardmaking with lots of gentle texture, this project is such a peaceful one to recreate. The star of the design is the Love, Preserved 3D Embossing Folder, which adds that gorgeous herbal texture that instantly elevates even the simplest ink blended background. Pairing it with the Mini Delight: Gardener’s Corner stamp & die set brings in sweet little diecut details that feel hand painted once you add a touch of ink to the edges.

The background starts with a pastel ombré blend in Glacier Iris and Dreamy Periwinkle, then gets embossed to bring out all those leafy details. From there, the diecut elements come together in soft purples, greens, and neutrals — with the lavender sprig being a standout thanks to a little extra ink shading. A glittery label shape anchors the whole arrangement and helps the floral filled crate pop without overwhelming the design!

The finished card feels like a tiny walk through a pastel garden: layered, serene, and full of movement. It’s a great reminder that you don’t need complicated techniques to create something dimensional and beautiful — just thoughtful color choices, a bit of texture, and a few well placed diecuts.
