Fresh Inspiration with Altenew: January 2026 Release Blog Hop + PRIZES

Happy Friday, crafty friends! I’m back today with a fresh dose of floral fun, featuring the new Happy Blossoms product suite from Altenew’s January release. These blooms are sweet, cheerful, and basically begging to be layered up in soft colors - so of course I had to give them the full Lea treatment! And yes, that includes plenty of shimmer. The heat embossed flowers catch the light in the prettiest way, adding that subtle sparkle that makes me ridiculously happy. What can I say…I’m predictable in the best way!

Easy Step by Step instructions:

  • Cut & fold A2 white card bases.
  • Emboss a panel of light aqua cardstock with the Botanical Rails 3D embossing folder.
  • Heat emboss the floral stamp in pink sparkle embossing powder to white cardstock.
  • Ink blend the florals in pinks & grey greens using the coordinating layering stencils, then diecut.
  • Trim in half, then arrange & adhere to the top & bottom of the embossed panel.
  • Mount the entire panel to the card front with foam tape.
  • Stamp the sentiment in black to white cardstock, then diecut with two additional white layers and one glitter layer.
  • Stack & glue together the white layers, then adhere slightly offset to the glitter payer.
  • Mount the sentiment to the front with thin foam strips.
  • Accent with Shimmering Pool sequins and yellow clear drops to finish.

Altenew January Release Video Hop

I’m thrilled to be joining Altenew for their January release video hop! 🌸I'm featuring the new Wildflower Whispers press plate today. This beautiful design is incredibly versatile, and I’m sharing three different ways to use it — from soft letterpress impressions to shiny hot foil details, all with the very same plate. Easy Step by Step instructions:

  • Cut & fold (3) A2 white card bases.
  • Foil the Wildflower Whispers press plate in matte gold to white cardstock. (Glimmer specialty cardstock might work a little easier.)
  • Use a solid hot foil plate to foil the leftover piece to white cardstock.
  • Transfer the press plate to a BetterPress, then ink the plate in a gradient.
  • Flip the platen paper side down over top, then run through a diecut machine.
  • Ink blend the solid foiled panel in the same ink colors.
  • Create an edge to edge shaker from the foiled panel, filling it with glitter and a sequin mix.
  • Trim the other panels slightly smaller, then cover with an iridescent glitter spray.
  • Once dry, mount both panels to card fronts with foam adhesive.
  • Adhere the shaker panel to the final card front with liquid glue.
  • Stamp the sentiments in black, then trim into strips.
  • Mount the sentiments to each card front with thin foam strips.
  • Accent the two non-shaker cards with crystal moonlight sequins to finish.
