Fluttering into Spring: Creating with Waffle Flower's Butterfly Blossom Release

Happy Wednesday, crafty friends! I am beyond thrilled to share a stunning new card featuring the delightful Crocus Flutter products from Waffle Flower Stamps' "Butterfly Blossom" release! This collection is an absolute dream, perfect for adding a touch of whimsy and elegance to your projects. The vibrant colors, intricate details, and enchanting designs bring the magic of spring right to your crafting table.

In this project, I had the joy of playing with the Crocus Flutter die and stencils, creating a spring themed card that radiates warmth and cheer. The butterflies fluttering among the blooming crocuses are simply breathtaking, capturing the essence of renewal and friendship. Whether you're an experienced crafter or just starting, these products will inspire your creativity and help you craft heartfelt cards for your loved ones.

Card size: A2 - 4.25 x 5.5 (inches) - click on the images above to see them larger.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

  • Create A2 card base from light pink cardstock.
  • Diecut the Crocus Flutter die from an A2 sized white cardstock panel.
  • Use the coordinating stencils to ink blend in the following colors:

Stencil 1: Cherry Blossom
Stencil 2: Waterfall
Stencil 3: Lemon Whip, Marigold
Stencil 4: Turquoise

  • Fluff up the flowers, butterflies and greenery elements, then trim the panel slightly on each edge.
  • Adhere to the card front with liquid glue.
  • Diecut three butterfly middles from ivory glitter cardstock, and adhere as shown.
  • Diecut the Hello Friend die from white cardstock, then ink blend with the stencil in Peony, Marigold and Paradise.
  • Diecut another layer from ivory glitter cardstock, adhere the hello cuts together, and mount to the card front with foam adhesive.
  • Stamp the word friend in onyx black to white cardstock, then diecut with two extra layers.
  • Stack & glue together, then adhere to the card front as shown.
  • Accent with yellow iridescent jewels to finish.
