Missing You Mountain card

It's time for a little crafty catch-up! Between creating, filming, and navigating all the exciting (and sometimes hectic!) details of building our forever home, a handful of my recent Altenew videos slipped through the blogging cracks. Today I'm gathering them all in one place so you can catch up on the projects, techniques, and inspiration you may have missed along the way.

This card takes creativity to new heights with the Aerial Cable Car Die Set gliding across a dreamy mountain landscape created with the Mountain Peak Layering Stencils. Soft pastel skies, shimmering snowy peaks, and a sparkling sun combine to create a whimsical scene that's perfect for sending a heartfelt "we miss you" to someone special. ✨🏔️🚠

Easy Step by Step instructions:

Cut & fold A2 white card base.
Ink blend the stencils to an A2 white cardstock panel in the following colors:

Stencil 1: Marble Dust
Stencil 2: Silver Lining
Stencil 3: Coastal Fog
Stencil 4: Sea Beryl shimmer relief paste

Once dry, add the mountain masking stencil to the top (the paste actually helps it stay in place).
Ink blend a gradient to the sky in Pink Pearl, Arctic & Amethyst.
Splatter with Pure White ink spray, then let dry.
Trim the panel to 4" x 5.25", then mount to the card base.
Diecut the Aerial Cable Car pieces, then assemble.
Adhere to the card front as shown.
Hot foil the sentiments in Satin Gold to white cardstock.
Diecut with the 1-piece die.
Mount the sentiment to the front with foam tape.
Accent with Iridescent Clear sequins to finish.

Painterly Perfection card

Featuring the Craft Your Life Project Kit: Painterly Perfection, this card showcases a serene lakeside scene framed by soft florals and lush foliage, all brought to life with layered stenciling and stamping. The peaceful waters, sunlit sky, and delicate blooms create a beautiful backdrop for a heartfelt sentiment that's as timeless as the view itself. ✨🌸💙

Easy Step by Step instructions:

Cut & fold A2 white card base.
Diecut the large floral piece from white cardstock, then place into your Stampwheel.
Align the greenery stamp to the diecut piece, then stamp in Matcha Tea.
Align A1 & B1 to the diecut piece, then stamp in Pale Mauve & Blush Rose.
Align A2 & B2, then stamp in Amethyst & Raspberry Sunset.
Align A3, then stamp in Grape Agate.
Add a new piece of white cardstock to your Stampwheel, then stamp flowers C1, D1 and E1 in Strawberry.
Align C2, D2 and E2 to the first layer, then stamp in Dusty Pink.
Align C3, D3 and E3, then stamp in Blush Rose.
Align C4, D4 and E4, then stamp in Chamomile.
Diecut the individual flowers, then adhere them to the larger diecut piece with foam tape.
Ink blend the Painterly Perfection stencils to an A2 white cardstock panel in the following colors:

Stencil 1: Aloe Vera
Stencil 2: Matcha Tea
Stencil 3: Swamp Green
Stencil 4: Arctic
Stencil 5: Caribbean Sky
Stencil 6: Chamomile, Persian Blue

Trim the panel to 4" x 5.25".
Adhere the stamped floral piece to the lower left corner, then trim away the excess.
Mount the panel to the card front with foam adhesive.
Diecut the Missing You sentiment once from Moonstone glitter cardstock, and twice from white cardstock.
Stack & glue the diecut words together with liquid glue.
Adhere to the card front as shown.
Adhere the tittles to the tops of the corresponding letter with a Perfect Picker & liquid glue.
Stamp the secondary sentiment in black, then trim into a thin strip.
Mount to the front with foam tape.
Accent with Clear Iridescent Gem Sparkles to finish.

Build A Garden: Harvest Bouquet Shaker card

The Build-A-Garden: Harvest Bouquet set does all the heavy lifting on this pretty shaker card, with soft pink blooms spilling out around a window filled with sparkly goodness. Between the rosy color palette, shimmering accents, and the bold "grateful" sentiment, this card feels like a little celebration tucked inside an envelope. ✨🌸💕

Easy Step by Step instructions:

Cut & fold A2 white card base, then cover with Velvet cardstock.
Heat emboss the floral element to white cardstock in Antique Gold embossing powder.
Heat emboss the arched sentiment to Rouge cardstock in Pure White embossing powder.
Ink blend the embossed florals with the coordinating stencils in the following colors:

Stencil 1: Strawberry, Dusty Pink
Stencil 2: Blush Rose, Raspberry Sunset
Stencil 3: Sand Dunes
Stencil 4: Rocky Shore
Stencil 5: Mocha, Chamomile

Ink blend the Arch masking stencils from the Garden Gala collection in Raspberry Sunset to the middle of an A2 white cardstock panel.
Adhere the panel to the middle of the card front with liquid glue.
Diecut the floral and the arched sentiment with the coordinating dies.
Diecut the Grateful sentiment once from Citrine glitter cardstock, and twice from white cardstock.
Diecut the shadow layer from vellum.
Stack & glue the diecut words together with liquid glue.
Diecut a nesting arch from the middle of a panel of Moonstone glitter cardstock.
Adhere acetate to the back to create a shaker window.
Add glitter mix, Peony Gold and Clear Iridescent sequins to the middle of the card base.
Mount the shaker window to the top, making sure to secure the foam tape into place before shaking.
Mount the arched sentiment to the front with thin foam strips.
Trim the flower apart, and arrange to the card front as shown.
Adhere the Grateful sentiment below the main floral element at the bottom of the card.
Trim away a flower & leaf cluster, and tuck into the upper left corner to finish.

Fall Pickings Autumn Card

Nothing says fall quite like the Fall Pickings Die Set, and this card is bursting with cozy autumn color, from the vibrant leaves to the clusters of berries winding across the design. The richly textured 3D embossed background adds the look of weathered bark, creating the perfect backdrop for a heartfelt "forever grateful" sentiment and a touch of golden sparkle. 🍁✨💛

When this video went live, the Weathered Bark and Decorative Frames 3D Embossing folders were out of stock, but I'm happy to report that they are back if you'd like to add them to your crafting stash!

Easy Step by Step instructions:

Cut & fold A2 white card base, then cover with Autumn cardstock.
Emboss a 4" x 5.25" panel of Peachy Gold cardstock with the Weathered Bark embossing folder.
Mount to the card front with foam tape.
Diecut the Fall Pickings diecut pieces from white cardstock.
Ink blend the pieces in shades of brown, orange and yellow.
Assemble the diecut pieces as needed.
Splatter them with Pure White & Antique Gold ink sprays.
Diecut the Decorative Frame from Brushed Gold cardstock.
Align with the 3D embossing folder, then run through your Platinum diecut machine.
Heat emboss the main sentiment in Antique Gold to white cardstock, then diecut.
Stamp the secondary sentiment in Espresso ink to white cardstock, then trim into a strip.
Adhere the berry branch to the card front.
Mount the gold frame to the lower left corner.
Mount the sentiments inside the frame, then arrange the remaining leaves as shown.
Accent with Antique Gold sequins to finish.
