Alexandra Renke - Autumn Blog Hop

Happy Saturday, blog friends! Today I am part of the Alexandra Renke Welcome Blog Hop, welcoming...well, me & some other designers to the International team.
This blog hop is Autumn themed, and Alexandra Renke has some really beautiful papers, washi tapes & dies that are perfect for this fall season. I channeled my inner scrapbooking style for my card today!

My entire card was designed around those adorable kissing foxes in the Fox washi tape! I love the idea of creating a love sentiment with an Autumn themed card...so perfect for this time of year!

To start, I added a strip of Fox washi tape at an angle to a heavyweight white cardstock block. Then I mounted it to the front of a brown top-folding A2 card base. I don't typically use textured cardstock any longer, but I wanted a really rich, but not overly dark brown for my card. So I went back to my scrapbooking days and grabbed a piece of textured Bazzill cardstock that I've had forever, and it was exactly the color I wanted!

Then I diecut the I love you sentiment three times: once from gold glitter paper, and two times from heavyweight white cardstock. I layered them together, then adhered below the washi tape at the same angle. I didn't fully adhere the heart at the end of the sentiment so that I could tuck the leaf stems through it.

Then I fussy cut the leaves from a 12x12 sheet of Alexandra Renke paper, and layered to the right side of the card. I adhered them with a mixed media glue, which is slow drying. This allowed me the opportunity to tuck more elements in before drying permanantly. Then I diecut the Ornament Snail dies from both white & gold vellum, and tucked those into the leaves as well.

To finish the card I accented here & there with my signature jewels, then added some gold splatters to the front. I covered the washi tape so that the splatters wouldn't land on it, as I wanted the cutie foxes to stay splatter free. The brown jewels that I used are some older Prima Say It In Crystals that I've had in my stash for quite awhile. I don't think they are available any longer for purchase, so you would just need to swap them out for something different if you planned on recreating this card!

Here is just a peek at how shimmery & metallic that gold splatter is. Love it!

That is what I have for you today! As I mentioned, this is a blog hop and here is the full link list for your hopping convenience:

Silke also says a welcome and greetings from her holidays.

We welcome:

It looks like a great line-up, and I know I am excited to grab a cup of coffee and check it all out! Before you move along with your day, I wanted to invite you to follow me on social media. I hang out on Instagram a lot, and share my work in progress in my stories...along with REALLY cute photos of my dogs! :) Plus, I just started my YouTube channel, and while there are only a handful of videos right now...I will be adding new content consistently now that I've gotten the video process all set up on my new laptop.

Have a wonderful rest of your Saturday! Happy hopping!
