WPlus9 September 2011- A Pocketful: Halloween

Hey there, everyone!!  I hope your day has been a good one so far!  Josh and I went and picked up tickets for a free Christian concert this Sunday.  The group is called SonicFlood, and they typically sing modern worship.  We host a missional community group for our church on Sunday evenings, and this is what we are going to do for our group meeting that evening!!  I am super excited, and we plan on inviting some good friends of ours who keep trying to get plugged into church but things seem to keep coming up.  I can't wait!!

Today is my second day showcasing the latest stamps from WPlus9, and today I am showcasing a set called "A Pocketful: Halloween".  This set is designed to compliment the new set called "A Pocketful" {which I will be showcasing tomorrow}, but I decided to use it on its own for my card today.  And I love how it turned out!!

I created my card for some challenges as well!!  First up, I used the Clean & Simple sketch #157 to help with the design.  Because I used a sketch & kraft cardstock, it also fits The Kraft Journal challenge #36.  I was inspired by the colors of CASE Study challenge #57, and it also fits the Papertake Weekly challenge of "Things with Wings".  And last but not least, it fits Totally Papercrafts challenge #83 of "Cute with Buttons".  Here is what I created!
"Creepy Crawly Wishes" supplies:
Cardstock: Papertrey Ink (vintage cream, kraft)
Paper: My Mind's Eye (Mischievous 6x6 paper pad)
Stamps: WPlus9 (A Pocketful: Halloween set)
Ink: Tsukineko (Versafine: onyx black)
Twine: May Arts
Button: Fancy Pants
Jewels: Doodlebug Designs
Border Punch: Fiskars (upper crest)
Corner Rounder: Creative Memories

Instructions:  Make card from vintage cream cardstock.  Cut a strip of star patterned paper, adhere to the right side of the card and then round the bottom right corner.  Cut  a strip of kraft cardstock, and punch an upper crest border to the bottom of it.  Stamp the sentiment and bats to the front of it, and then stamp the bats again to a peice of kraft cardstock.  Cut the two bats out that went off the edge, and adhere to the stamp kraft strip.  Tie a double bow from twine, thread a button around the middle and adhere below the sentiment.  Adhere the entire kraft strip to the card front, and then accent with jewels to finish.

I hope that you have enjoyed my cute little Halloween card for day 2 of my WPlus9 September inspiration!  Come back on over tomorrow for the final day, where I will be showcasing the stamp set called "A Pocketful".  Have a wonderful rest of your day!! ♥♥♥

Until later,
~Lea L.
